After-School Program

Most Burmese women are staying at home for caring and looking after their small children, and then applying for public assistance, largely because they don’t have child-care. Many other women, meanwhile, left their children at other families while working, which unfortunately allowed those small children to use phones nonstop. After they used phones and watched all kinds of YouTube nonstop for weeks, months, and even years, their eyes are slowly, but negatively, affected and many of them end up with wearing eyeglass since their childhood. The question is what can we do to help these small children and their mothers to grow here better. In order to address this critical issue facing Burmese children and help them to grow better, we badly need afterschool program. We feel the urge to help them to grow well, flourish well, and achieve their fullest potential in due course. If we have afterschool program, we can assist our children, who are the future of our community and this country, to become better persons.
